Nissan Says The NV200 Can Accept
A 40″ x 48″ Pallet Flat In Its Cargo Area

Canada’s commercial van sector gained a new member in March 2013. The Nissan NV200 sold. Once.

That’ll pick up. Presumably it already has. The NV200 joins the larger NV in Nissan’s commercial vehicle fleet. Together, they owned 3.4% of the market in March. Ford, the long-time category leader, grabbed 50.5% market share. General Motors, another purveyor of two vans, owned 29.5% of the market.

This left remnants of DaimlerChrysler, the Sprinter and Ram Cargo Van, to pick up the remaining 457 buyers, 16.6% of the market between the pair.

Category-wide sales rose 9.8% in March and are up 2.1% so far this year. This stands in comparison to the remainder of the automobile industry, which was down 0.9% in March and is off 2012’s first quarter pace by a measure of 2%.
