Top 30 Best-Selling Vehicles In Canada – August 2016

The Ford F-Series was not merely Canada’s best-selling new vehicle line in August 2016 – we always correctly assume it will be – the F-Series absolutely trounced all potential rivals.

The second-ranked Ram P/U sold less than half as often as the top-ranked F-Series. August’s 14,197 F-Series sales represented the highest monthly total in the F-Series’ history. No other vehicle has ever crested the 100,000-unit annual marker in Canadian sales. Ford just burst through that barrier in just two-thirds of 2016, placing the F-Series on a track for 150,000 annual sales in calendar year 2016.

As industry-wide auto sales slid 2% in August, Ford F-Series sales jumped 27%. The 14,197 marker placed the F-Series ahead of all but three brands (one of which is Ford), including Hyundai, Chevrolet, Nissan, and GMC. 

Indeed, in a sense, the F-Series outsold the top-ranked Ford brand, as well. Ford Canada reported 14,197 F-Series sales in August; 14,016 sales of all other Fords.
