The second-ranked Ram P/U sold less than half as often as the top-ranked F-Series. August’s 14,197 F-Series sales represented the highest monthly total in the F-Series’ history. No other vehicle has ever crested the 100,000-unit annual marker in Canadian sales. Ford just burst through that barrier in just two-thirds of 2016, placing the F-Series on a track for 150,000 annual sales in calendar year 2016.

As industry-wide auto sales slid 2% in August, Ford F-Series sales jumped 27%. The 14,197 marker placed the F-Series ahead of all but three brands (one of which is Ford), including Hyundai, Chevrolet, Nissan, and GMC.
Indeed, in a sense, the F-Series outsold the top-ranked Ford brand, as well. Ford Canada reported 14,197 F-Series sales in August; 14,016 sales of all other Fords.
We’ve already published August lists for the 20 best-selling cars, 20 best-selling SUVs and crossovers, and complete figures for every pickup truck, links to which you’ll find below. Throwing all those vehicles into one group results in this list of the 30 best-selling vehicles overall. We end up with four pickup trucks, one minivan, 11 cars, and 14 utility vehicles.
Historical monthly and yearly sales figures for any of these top-selling vehicles can always be accessed through the dropdown menu at GCBC’s Sales Stats page, and for those not viewing the mobile version of this site, near the top right of this page, as well. Mobile users can now thumb across the table for full-width access.
