Our Take On The SUV sales Numbers
SUV sales in August brought some good news among more difficult tidings across the auto industry, with many manufacturers reporting lifts in SUV sales through last month.
Four out of Jeep’s five nameplates saw sales surge in August as Wrangler set an August record; Audi’s premium Q-brand models surged 20.9% overall despite a dip in Q3 sales; Hyundai’s SUV sales soared 30% compared with August 2018; even Toyota, with RAV4 sales dipping 2.4% year-on-year, came out the end of August with SUV sales up 8.9%.
