Large car sales looked extremely poor in 2019. In the month of December, the segment saw sales drop. When you look at the year as a whole, the segment was down significantly.
When you look at just the month of December, you’ll see that the segment was down by about 320 sales. When you look at the segment in terms of the year as a whole, you’ll see that it has dropped by about 3,700 sales.
The Dodge Charger was the leader in terms of sales overall for the year. The model was down for both the month of December and the year as a whole. Actually, every model was down in 2019. In December, only the Chrysler 300 and the Kia K900 escaped seeing sales drop.
We expect the segment to continue its downward trajectory in 2020. Large car sales have struggled in the last several years.
