Jeep Patriot Sales Figures

Jeep Patriot

Here you will find monthly and yearly Canadian, European and U.S. sales figures for the Jeep Patriot. The Jeep Patriot is a compact crossover SUV that was introduced by Jeep, a division of Stellantis (previously Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), in 2006 and continued in production until 2017. Positioned as an entry-level SUV within Jeep’s lineup, the Patriot was aimed at offering a more affordable option for those looking for Jeep’s traditional rugged styling without the price tag of some of the brand’s more premium models.

Jeep Patriot Overview

The Jeep Patriot was introduced alongside its sibling, the Jeep Compass, at the 2006 New York Auto Show. The Patriot was designed to evoke traditional Jeep styling, with a boxy and rugged appearance reminiscent of the older Jeep Cherokee models. The Patriot shared its platform with the Jeep Compass and the Dodge Caliber, known as the Chrysler PM/MK platform. Over its lifecycle, the Patriot primarily used four-cylinder engines, the most common being the 2.0L and 2.4L World engines.

While primarily designed as an on-road vehicle, the Patriot did offer a “Trail Rated” version with the Freedom Drive II package, which included a low-range mode for the CVT and other off-road enhancements. The Patriot’s interior was straightforward and functional. Over the years, some refinements were made to improve material quality and features, but it generally retained a more basic and utilitarian feel compared to some other models in the Jeep lineup.

The Jeep Patriot served as a bridge between traditional Jeep design and the demands of modern compact SUV buyers. Its styling appealed to those looking for a classic Jeep look in a smaller, more affordable package. However, competition in the compact SUV segment was fierce, and over time, the Patriot began to show its age. Production ceased in 2017, with the more modern and refined Jeep Compass effectively taking over its position in the lineup.

Jeep Patriot Sales Figures

The Patriot saw steady sales during its production run, thanks in part to its affordability and traditional Jeep styling. Reception to the Jeep Patriot was mixed. While it was praised for its rugged design and value proposition, it often faced criticism for its dated platform, lackluster performance, and the CVT’s behavior. Later models did receive improvements, but the vehicle often lagged behind competitors in terms of refinement and innovation.
