Acura CSX Sales Figures

The Acura CSX

Acura CSX Brief Overview

The Acura CSX was a compact luxury sedan produced by Acura, the luxury division of Honda. It was specifically designed for the Canadian market and was available from 2006 to 2011. The CSX was essentially a rebadged version of the Honda Civic sold in Canada, with some upgrades and features to align it with Acura’s luxury branding.

The CSX was based on the seventh-generation Honda Civic platform. While it shared the same underlying structure as the Civic, it featured unique front and rear fascias, as well as other design elements, to give it a more upscale appearance. The CSX was typically offered with two engine choices. The base model came with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produced around 155 horsepower. A higher-performance variant, known as the CSX Type-S, was equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing approximately 197 horsepower. The Type-S version featured sportier tuning and performance-oriented upgrades. Both engine options were paired with either a 5-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission, giving buyers the option to choose between automatic convenience and manual control.

Being a luxury offering, the Acura CSX came with a range of upscale features and amenities. These included leather upholstery, heated front seats, a premium audio system, automatic climate control, and other comfort and convenience features. The Acura CSX was discontinued after the 2011 model year. Honda made this decision as they shifted their focus to other models and revised their lineup to meet changing market demands.
