Volvo C70 Sales Figures

Volvo C70

Here you will find monthly and yearly Canadian and U.S. sales figures for the Volvo C70. The Volvo C70 is two cars in one. It is as much an elegant coupe as a sporty convertible. With the same gentle, clean lines in both versions. The C70 has a smart three-piece steel roof, practical seating for four adults and world-leading convertible safety.

Volvo C70 Overview

The Volvo C70 is a two-door car produced by the Swedish automaker Volvo Cars. It was available in both coupe and convertible forms.

First introduced in 1996, the C70 represented Volvo’s foray into the luxury coupe and convertible segments. This generation was introduced initially as a coupe in 1996, with the convertible version following in 1997. The design was a collaboration between Volvo and the British design firm TWR. It featured a stylish and modern appearance, distinguishing itself from the more conservative design language traditionally associated with Volvo. The first-generation C70 was available with a range of engines, including turbocharged petrol variants. The most powerful versions were known for their impressive performance.

The second generation arrived in 2006, and unlike the first generation, which was available in both coupe and convertible forms, the second-generation C70 was offered only as a convertible with a retractable hardtop. This provided the benefits of both a coupe and a convertible. The C70 underwent a significant design update, aligning it with Volvo’s evolving design language of the time. The car was sleeker and more contemporary. The engine options continued to focus on turbocharged petrol engines, with both four and five-cylinder options available. In 2009, the C70 received a facelift that updated its front and rear design, bringing it closer in appearance to other models in Volvo’s lineup.

Volvo C70 Sales Figures

The C70’s production ended in 2013. While it was a niche model for Volvo, it catered to buyers looking for a combination of luxury, performance, and safety in a convertible or coupe form. The C70 was significant for Volvo as it showed the brand’s capability to produce vehicles that were not only safe but also stylish and desirable. The model showcased Volvo’s commitment to design and innovation, and it remains a favorite among Volvo enthusiasts.
