US – Sports Car Sales Figures

The GCBC Analysis

Sports cars seemed to sell well in July of this year. While muscle cars and misc sports cars continued to struggle, other areas of the market saw sales rise.

When you look YTD, the different areas of the segment saw different results. Muscle cars struggled again, European sports car sales were up, premium sports car sales were up, and misc. sports car sales were down.

This has been the trend for most of the year so far. It seems that only high-priced sports cars and European sports cars are selling very well right now.

Because this has been the trend so far this year, we would assume this will continue as the rest of the year progresses.

Below you will find sales figures for all sports cars sold in the United States broken down by month.

We will report July 2019 Automotive Sales beginning on Thursday, August 1st, 2019, beginning around 10 AM ET.

Data will trickle in throughout the day with the numbers being finalized by EOD. GCBC is also happy to announce that we will be adding quarterly sales reports and comparisons in addition to monthly sales comparisons beginning this quarter.
