US – Midsize Luxury Car Sales Figures

The GCBC Analysis

The midsize luxury car segment in the U.S. was actually up when you look at the overall numbers. However, the vast majority of the cars in the segment did not sell very well.

The Tesla Model 3 carried the entire segment and sold more than four times as many as the next closest competitor. The model was up by 239 percent for the month of June and is up about 175 percent for the year so far.

Another car that managed to see a really strong sales increase was the Audi A6. The car is up by about 84 percent so far for the year and was up more than 464 percent for the month of June. The Audi A7 also saw significant sales increases but not as good as the A6 or the Tesla Model 3.

While we fully expect the segment to continue to have most models suffer when it comes to sales, we also expect the Model 3 and Audi’s machines to continue to sell well in the coming months.

Below you will find sales figures for all midsize luxury cars sold in the United States broken down by month and by quarter.

We will report June 2019 Midsize Luxury Car Sales beginning on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019 beginning around 10 AM ET.
