US Commercial Van Sales Figures By Model

The GCBC Analysis

With Ford, Ram, and FCA not represented in this month’s sales data due to the fact that they report sales quarterly, it’s kind of hard to get a good full picture of what the segment is really like for the month of July. Each of those automakers has several entrants into the commercial van segment.

Of the data we do have, Nissan’s cargo vans have performed well for the month and YTD. Mercedes-Benz had the Metris see positive sales results. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van, on the other hand, was down for both the month and YTD.

We can pretty safely estimate that the other models not represented here had a decent if not good month in July. The previous quarterly sales numbers and other historical data suggest that the segment is up and will continue to be so in the upcoming months.

Below you will find sales figures for all commercial vans sold in the United States broken down by month and by quarter.

We will report July 2019 Automotive Sales beginning on Thursday, August 1st, 2019, beginning around 10 AM ET.

GCBC is also happy to announce that we will be adding quarterly sales reports and comparisons in addition to monthly sales comparisons beginning this quarter. We will also be adding monthly sales tables and charts to the mix as well.

Note: FCA US LLC will end its practice of reporting U.S. and Canada sales on a monthly basis following June results. FCA US and FCA Canada will report monthly sales for May and June. The first quarterly report will occur on October 1, 2019, covering the months of July, August, and September.
