Canada Auto Sales Figures by Brand

The GCBC Analysis

When you’re looking just at the brand sales in Canada, you can see that there is a good mix of increases and decreases for the month of August. however, that doesn’t change the fact that many brands struggled.

When you look YTD, it’s clear that this has not been a great year for Canadian auto sales so far. The vast majority of brands out there have seen sales drop YTD.

Ford managed to lead in terms of overall volume. It was followed by Toyota and then Honda. Of the top three, Toyota was the only brand that saw sales rise.

It’ll be interesting to see if brands continue to see sales as they did in August or if the segment will revert back to something more resembling the YTD numbers.

Below you will find Canadian sales figures for all of the major auto brands broken down by month and by quarter. Brands differ from Manufacturers, for example, Ford Motor Co manufacturers both Ford and Lincoln brands.
