Our Take On The Midsize SUVs Sales Numbers
Midsize SUVs sold at a slower rate this September compared with the same month in 2017, with sharp drops for a few usually strong-sellers hitting the market hard despite some strong growth.
On the up last month was the Honda Pilot; the three-row SUV’s sales rose over 50% year-on-year as Honda’s passenger car sales continued to slide. The Pilot’s growth last month outpaced its growth for the year so far, which stands at 42.4% after the first three quarters.
On the other side of the coin was the GMC Acadia, sales of which dropped by 41.4% year-on-year, with a new model on the way towards the end of next year or the beginning of 2020.
