Pickup truck sales exploded in the United States in February 2017, jumping 10% thanks largely to an 11% gain from full-size trucks.

U.S. Vehicle Sales By Model – February 2017 YTD

Aside from the Toyota Tundra’s 13% drop, every full-size pickup truck nameplate reported meaningful year-over-year sales improvements. The class-leading Ford F-Series, America’s top-selling line of vehicles, rose 9% to 65,956 units, 36% of the full-size truck market; 31% share in the overall pickup sector.

Aside from the Nissan Frontier’s 31% decline, every midsize pickup truck nameplate reported improvements. The Toyota Tacoma rose 1% to 14,256 units, 44% share in the midsize sub-segment.
