Priced from $9,995, the second-generation 2016 Chevrolet Spark enters the sub-$10K arena previously inhabited by the Nissan Micra in Canada. The Spark, with $1600 in freight fees, rises to $11,595. The Micra starts at $9,998 and hits $11,598 with $1600 in freight and PDI. We reviewed that very basic Micra last spring and quite enjoyed ourselves. Like the Micra S, the Spark LS is sparsely equipped. Want an automatic transmission? The available CVT adds $3900, but brings along some other features, too. The total price for the least costly air-conditioned Spark is therefore $15,595. The Spark has historically sold far more frequently in the U.S. than in small-car-loving Canada. Though the Canadian market is 1/9th the size, sales in the U.S. are 23 times stronger.
Mercedes-Benz Canada revealed their latest C-Class wagon in Montreal yesterday. The C-Class wagon wasn't available during the previous iteration's tenure, nor will this C-Class wagon be available in the United States, at least not yet. The C-Class wagon will be sold only with a 2.1L four-cylinder diesel generating 200 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque and will send all that power to all four wheels.
