The Detroit Free Press says Volkswagen is placing lots of hope in a U.S. engineering centre to boost the automaker’s U.S. sales.
For the 2016 model year, Volkswagen Of America will sell a less costly e-Golf SE. Not only will it be $55 less than the least costly 2015 Nissan Leaf, it’ll be $4500 less than the current least costly e-Golf. Leaf sales in the U.S. are down 30% to 10,990 this year. 1831 e-Golfs have been sold.
