Watch 2016 Honda Pilot Video Review – Alex On Autos

2016 Honda Pilot

No three-row vehicle in America sells more often than the Ford Explorer.

Chasing Explorer buyers is something virtually every major automaker does. Toyota builds the Highlander, Nissan markets the Pathfinder, GM sells a trio of full-size crossovers, Mazda uses an old Ford platform underneath the CX-9, Hyundai will sell you a Santa Fe XL.

At Honda, the latest Ford Explorer is this third-generation Pilot. With seating for up to eight passengers and space behind the third row – imagine that – for a cooler, the Pilot is a spacious contender.

For 2016, however, the Pilot is intended to be much more than spacious. Honda has inserted plenty of safety technology, a more powerful engine, an available 9-speed transmission, and Honda’s latest infotainment unit. In fact, there’s basically nothing about the new Pilot that’s shared with the outgoing Pilot.

A vehicle with dimensions this vast needs a thorough video review. Fortunately, the videos produced by Alex Dykes of Alex On Autos, are the most thorough and detailed video reviews on YouTube.

We plan to test a new 2016 Honda Pilot here at GCBC Towers soon. The tester that’s on our way here from Honda Canada is a Touring model, priced at CAD $52,285, including fees.
