Canada's full-size SUV category experienced no growth in November 2013, nor did the category experience any decline.

836 copies of these seven sport-utility vehicles were sold in November 2012, exactly the same number as were sold one year later.

The means by which we arrived at that total, however, was very different. In November 2012, General Motors owned 58.9% of the segment. Fast forward to last month, and GM's market share slid  to 52.3% as Ford's market share grew from 25.1% to 33.7% thanks to the Expedition's best Canadian sales month since June of last year

Jointly, Nissan and Toyota market share in the full-size sport-ute segment fell from 16% to 14%. The two owned 10.3% of the U.S. full-size SUV segment in November 2013. Americans registered 29 times more new large SUVs in November. The overall U.S. new vehicle market was nine times bigger than the Canadian market.

  1. I think the big difference with the 2014 Impala is they are actually selling a lot more retail units vs. fleet units in the past.
