July 2013 Canada Passenger Car Sales Rankings - Top 144 Best-Selling Cars In Canada - Every Car Ranked

2013 Hyundai Elantra sedan red
July 2013 marked the first properly strong month for car sales in Canada this year, as the best-selling Honda Civic contributed an extra 1595 sales, Hyundai sold 1090 extra Elantras, and Toyota sold 687 more Corollas than they did a year ago.

Collectively, the 144 passenger car nameplates you see here posted 11.5% gains in July. Car sales aren't all that healthy through the first 58% of 2013, however, basically level in a growing market.

Honda car sales are up 13% this year. Hyundai car sales are up narrowly by a couple hundred units. Sales of cars at Toyota's own Toyota division have plunged 8%. Sales of cars at FoMoCo have fallen 3%. Chrysler Canada car sales have grown 21% with a big boost from the 21st-ranked Dodge Dart. General Motors car sales are down 1% with no assistance from the Impala, which is down 49%, or 2735 units.

These are year-to-date rankings, but you can sort cars by July volume by clicking the July 2013 column header, or you can rank cars by improvements or declines using the % columns. Or, most importantly, you can list automakers together by selecting the Car column header. Just remember, the list is horizontally flipped from the norm: YTD on the left, monthly data on the right.

As always, you can find historical monthly and yearly sales figures for any of these vehicles by selecting a make and model at GCBC's Sales Stats page.

Red font indicates year-over-year declining sales
Italicized unranked lines are nothing more than available breakdowns, already included in the model's total, not in addition to the model's total. Sales data for brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini are unfortunately not broken down by model. ANDC estimates say sales for those brands in July were 18 and 4, respectively, 124 and 26 YTD . Total Maserati and Bentley volume is reported, but not by specific models.
* Notes: Mini Cooper includes sales of the Hardtop, Convertible, Clubman, Coupe, Roadster, and Paceman. Total Prius Family sales are down 22% to 4927 this year, down 4% to 852 in July. Total Genesis sales are down 12% to 1835 this year, up 30% to 315 in July.
