CHEVROLET vs FORD : BOWTIE vs BLUE OVAL : APRIL 2010 IN THE USA

2011 ford mustang gt
Ford was the dominant automobile brand in the United States in April. Total sales of the Ford Motor Company's famous Blue Oval brand surpassed not only Chevrolet but Toyota, as well. On the back of strong truck sales, both Ford and Chevrolet posted huge gains over April of 2009. Do remember, April of 2009 wasn't the best month for automobile sales, but the improvements are staggering.

General Motors' most well-known brand, Chevrolet, saw sales incrase 17.4% over the same period of last year. Meanwhile Ford sales rose 26.1%. Strangely enough, even all the positive press relating to the 2011 Ford Mustang - and even the 2010 Ford Mustang - hasn't been enough to slow down sales of the Chevrolet Camaro. The very stylish Ford Flex, a Good 12 Supersize winner, isn't able to keep up with the versatile Chevrolet Traverse, either. Elsewhere in the rivalry, particularly with model lines mentioned in the Graph below, Ford has Chevy's number.

  1. Confused about the Traverse and Flex. Style is in the eye of the beholder, I guess. Amazing how so many more go for the conservative crossover.
