FUEL ECONOMY IN CAR AND DRIVER MAY 2010

You know how quick they are - now here are the fuel efficiency results from vehicles tested by Car & Driver for the magazine's May issue. That a 4-cylinder Hyundai Tucson uses more fuel than a Honda Pilot is likely an anomaly. The 2011 Hyundai Tucson tested by C/D wasn't likely run-in and suffered, as C/D said, from "admittedly aggressive driving". The Honda Pilot, on the other hand, racked up this 18mpg figure over the course of 40,000 miles. There'd be lots of interstate travel, lots of gentle cruising, and plenty of time to see the engine run-in to perfect operating condition.

  2. 25mpg might be good but the car has a face a mother couldn't love.
