Lexus was nowhere nearly as harmed by the Toyota fiasco in January as Toyota itself. Sales of Lexus cars and SUVs were actually up 5.4% compared with January of 2009. Perhaps more telling is the fact that Lexus remains atop the luxury heap even in a month where Mercedes-Benz was too close for comfort.
