Every issue of Car & Driver gets me a little amped up. Not because their photography is the best (it isn't) or because their writing ability is superior to the competition (it isn't) or because I always agree with the editors (I don't). Rather, Car & Driver manages to enthuse me because they love to test cars; and quickly. I love statistics, and how one set of stats compares with another. And despite the irrelevancy of many Numbers below, I still crave the knowledge that comes with a complete reading of C/D.
In the Februry issue, Car & Driver completed their Lightning Lap at VIR for the fourth time. This in addition to a full small crossover comparo and a test of the Ferrari 458 Italia. And guess what we discovered? The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 really is that fast. Check real-world fuel economy figures for many of the cars tested in the February issue of C/D right here.

ReplyDeleteAre supercars pointless when much less expensive less exotic machines go faster?
