LUXURY CAR SALES IN AMERICA (OCTOBER 2009)

The performance of Toyota's luxury brand, Lexus, is something to behold. Ignoring the history of established luxury players from Germany, Lexus has taken two decades on the Marketplace to become the foreordained leader of the luxury pack every single freakin' month. In October of '09 - last month - Lexus even cracked the top 10 best-selling automakers overall; only about 113,000 sales behind parent Toyota.

October's Sales Stats from the positions 4-8. And although they never make it onto the Graph, Porsche sold 1,642 vehicles; Hummer 307; and Saab managed 513 sales. Catch September's rundown of the same newsline here.

  1. Yawn. Lexus. Yawn. You choose an ES when you can have a 3-Series or even an IS. You choose an RX when you could have an X5? Yes, you do. Thousands do.
