Last month's Sales Stats revealed BMW's 3-Series to be a big winner in the smaller, entry-luxury category in the United States. With about half as many sales, Infiniti's G and the Lexus IS family solidified their podium positions. In September Mercedes-Benz moved up to challenge BMW; Lexus was knocked down a couple rungs; and Infiniti hung on to a podium spot, as can be seen in the Graph below. Interesting that in a Cash4Clunkers month a lot of these cars sold a lot better than in September once C4C wasover.
