Car & Driver was cruising this month. Blame car magazines for concentrating on vehicles for the mega-rich if you like - I'm perfectly fine with reality on the streets outside and dreams on paper - but don't associate the supercar speeds of yesteryear with supercar prices. Sure, the Jaguar XFR is a very expensive car; the Benz E550 not a car meant for penny pinchers, either. Yet they accelerate with the force of truly exclusive cars of the recent past. The cars tested by Car And Driver for the August issue join together for a 0-60 miles per hour average of 5.4 seconds. Yow. Zah.
