HONDA ODYSSEY RECALL SMALL IN NUMBER FOR SERIOUS BRAKE ISSUE

421 brand new Honda Odysseys from model year 2009 are being recalled, says NHTSA, because of “incorrect brake hoses” being installed during assembly. “The brake hose can contact the caliper bolt and over time a hole may develop which will allow brake fluid to leak”.
The obvious decrease in braking capability is dangerous, fortunately fixable, and thankfully possible on only a small number of Honda’s Odyssey minivan. Any Odyssey fitted with incorrect hoses will have new hoses installed. Apart from receiving a notice, one other way to find out whether your Odyssey is involved in this NHTSA Recall is to call Honda at 1-800-999-1009. For the record, the Honda Odyssey is one member of the first ever Good 12 Supersize.
