CANADA CAR SALES STATISTICS FOR JULY 2008

General Motors, holder of the Buick; Cadillac; Chevrolet; Hummer; Pontiac; Saab; and Saturn brands, posted July sales 5.2% higher than in July of 2007. GM sold 33,893 vehicles in Canada in the seventh month of 2008.

Some of GM’s highlights included more than doubling Cadillac CTS and Saturn Vue sales, and nearly doubling sales of the Chevrolet Malibu. Put it this way: depressing though GM’s numbers were south of the 49th parallel, the General must be pleased north of the border.
